Fiona Apple covers Pure Imagination from Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory
When I first heard this song in middle school it was like I saw God. Bjork-God.
It’s Friday, and we’re going back to our favorite songs. In addition, I’m going to go ahead and institute a recurring Friday theme. Every Friday, I’ll be posting a song that you can download for free (or name your own price) legally. I love cruising Bandcamp and finding free music (and then paying more than I probably need to for it, just to support the artist).
All There is a band formed via the internet. Its four members live all across the US, but came together to write a self titled concept album based on both a relationship and the four seasons.
"You’ve Changed" is the first single off that album, and a song that I have not been able to stop listening to since I downloaded it.
I don’t like walking around this old and empty house
So hold my hand, I’ll walk with you my dear
The stairs creak as you sleep, it’s keeping me awake
It’s the house telling you to close your eyes
And some days I can’t even trust myself
It’s killing me to see you this way
my good friend lorn had this ridiculous/fantastic idea to mix together “No Church in the Wild” and “Clint Eastwood” so i did it and you can listen to that now and it’s called
Jay-Z & Kanye West vs. Gorillaz - No Clint in the Eastwood
oh my fucking god whoever made this NEEDS AN AWARD HOLY
you heard em, hop to it
eeeyyy it’s back
this is very excellent. notxam you are awesome!
Les Savy Fav - The Lowest Bitter
i remember when i went to a concert when i was 15 or so and i didn’t know what i was getting into but it ended up being 8 hours long, and incredible. and les savy fav played and it was awesome. (blonde redhead, LCD soundsystem, and Arcade Fire too. i know, right??) the lead singer of les savy fav was in this magnificent nude skintight body suit that said something about how we should show off our bodies, and he threw toys at the crowd and i think he might have crowd surfed too. i am so glad i appreciated that show. my friend actually passed out from heat exhaustion because we were in the hot sun for so long, during LCD’s set, but then she came to and had some water and we went back in for arcade fire. that was a good memory even though carrying her through the crowd was really scary.
